Octopus Capital, has announced that it will commence commercial lending in the Republic of Ireland, as it looks to expand beyond mainland UK

Octopus Capital have partnered with Homes England, the Government’s housing delivery agency, to create the Greener Homes Alliance. The new Alliance commits £175 million, providing both loan finance and expert support to SME housebuilders, enabling them to build more high quality, energy efficient homes throughout England.

Octopus Capital has completed a £10 million loan secured on a prime development site with planning consent for a 327-unit apartment block, in central Manchester. The lender provided both the asset loan and a VAT loan for the acquisition.
