Octopus Capital appoints Sarah Thomas as Non-Executive Director to NewArch Homes

Octopus Capital, part of Octopus Investments and a leading UK specialist real estate lender and investor, announces the appointment of Sarah Thomas as a Non-Executive Director to NewArch Homes, its for-profit Registered Provider of social housing.

Sarah brings over 20 years of strategic and operational leadership experience across the housing and transport sectors. Currently Chief Executive of Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP) and Chair of social housing charity HACT, Sarah has previously held executive roles at Peabody, Catalyst Housing Limited, and the Housing Ombudsman, as well as senior positions at Eurostar. She has a strong reputation for delivering organisational transformation, improving customer service, and driving forward sector innovation.

NewArch Homes is funded through long-term investment from investors who are motivated to deliver good quality affordable housing. This investment is managed by Octopus, which also manages NewArch Homes. This structure combines private sector agility with the necessary regulatory standards for social housing, ensuring homes are well-managed and provide real, lasting benefits to residents and local communities.
